Update from the Office of Vincent Morales

FLASHING LIGHT AT WILLIAMS WAY:

From TXDOT: The current plans do not include converting the flashing signals to full signals at the frontage road intersections with Williams Way. We have had the conversation at the area office level but will need to have Traffic Engineering perform a study to see if the intersections will meet any of the warrants to install the full signal. For the sake of accurate data, we did not want to perform this study until after Williams Way was open to FM 762 and traffic using it.  If a study is done now it will not capture the permanent condition on Williams Way and may not meet any warrant.

MUDHOLES ON BOTH SIDES OF WILLIAMS WAY:
From TXDOT : The area around Williams Way will be dressed up to the grading details as prescribed in the plans.  It will be an improvement from what exists today.

RASNOM RD, TRUCK ISSUE:
From Capt. Holtz
1)      Captain Holtz paid a visit to concrete plant and addressed issues of trucks needing to go to 99- not through neighborhood, and the trucks dropping concrete material.  He reported that his visit was received favorably and was told would be corrected by plant management.
2)      County Traffic Department can move forward with a Traffic Control Plan that will put more teeth in the law.  The traffic engineer will work with the Sheriff’s Office and the DA to strengthen the ordinance as has been done in Del Webb.
