2nd Annual Earth Day comes to RiverPark West
Posted on Apr 19th, 2016

EARTH DAY @ RIVERPARK WEST 2016

On Friday, April 22, from 3-6pm, the Houston Museum of Natural Science will be doing 15 minute shows inside their mobile "Discovery Dome" inside the clubhouse.
Think your kids will love it?  Preview the show on YOUTUBE.

The HMNS group will also be setting up a hands on Texas Wildlife display, where kids can see, touch, and learn about creatures here in Texas.  Read more about that program here.

RiverPark West will also be hosting the Long Acres Ranch, the wildlife preserve on Williams Way, setting up birdseed feeder crafts, and providing water, juice, and themed snacks.

Finally, don't forget about our Earth Day Conservation Challenge!
Have you been watching your water and electricity usage?  Pick a week to take an initial reading photo and final reading photo and bring it with you to the event to enter the contest.  The winners will have the lowest usages.

In 2015, at the inaugural Earth Day Event, RPW volunteers hosted about 75 attendees.
