  • What is the Groundwater Reduction Program and why do we have to pay for it?
All commercial users of groundwater in the State of Texas are required to create and implement a groundwater reduction program in accordance with State law.

In Fort Bend County, this is coordinated through the Fort Bend Subsidence District.

RiverPark West uses groundwater to irrigate our common areas and to fill our landscape lake.  We own and maintain two water wells within the development to supply irrigation water.

RiverPark West joined with the City of Richmond, and other developments in the vicinity, to create and implement our groundwater reduction program.  As part of this program, we pay a fee for the total water usage minus a credit for our production of water into the aggregate total for the group.  We are required to supplement our groundwater use with 30% surface water by 2013.  By 2025, we must use 60% surface water.  These percentages are calculated based on the usage of the entire group of participants.
  • Who maintains the fences in RiverPark West?
All lot fencing is the responsibility of the homeowner.  The Association does not own or maintain any lot fencing in RiverPark West.  The Association does own and maintain the black steel fencing around some common areas.
